Diliigent Power Pvt .Ltd. is a company promoted by Bhaskar Group planning to put up power projects at strategic locations across India. It is a holding company under which various SPVs will have the various plants and coal mines. The company is promoted by the promoters of Bhaskar Group Mr.Ramesh Chandra Agarwal, Mr.Sudhir Agarwal, Mr.Girish Agarwaal and Mr.Pawan Agarwal.

Bhaskar Group is a multifaceted reputed business House in the country . The group's initial foray was into the newspaper publication business. Over the years, the group has diversified into sectors such as textiles, solvent extraction, oil refinery, Vanaspati, TV media, FM radio, Information technology, Real Estateand FMCG.        

The company is  setting up various coal-based power plants project in the State of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh . Over a period of next 3-5 years (2015), company is committed to set up facilities to generate  around  6400 MW of power, coal-based. The expansion will be fuelled by setting up greenfield projects as well as by acquisition of existing power plants.
Construction work on 1200 MW in Chhattisgarh is in full swing, wherein the BTG is being supplied by BHEL and BOP contract is given to L&T. The plant is expected to get commissioned in mid 2013.

In Madhya Pradesh, work on 1320 MW has also started, wherein the LOA for BTG has been placed with BHEL. Construction work has started onsite wherein the BOP is being done on individual package basis.
Power generated from these units will be sold under the combination of long term and short term PPAs to state owned/private distribution companies and industrial consumers
